About VoteSutra

Indian elections are won at the booth. Most campaigns still navigate blind.

VoteSutra is India's election data platform. We publish free constituency level data for every seat in India and ship booth level campaign intelligence to the candidates, campaigns and newsrooms that need to see one layer deeper.

Coverage

Every seat in India, cycle by cycle

One dataset for every Assembly seat, every Parliamentary seat and every election since 2008. Free at the aggregate layer, priced only at the booth layer.

Our vision

To become India's #1 political consultancy by helping our clients win through strategic, data-driven decision making.

We exist to give the candidates, campaigns and consultancies we work with a meaningful advantage before the vote is cast. That advantage does not come from opinion. It comes from the disciplined combination of political strategy, ground-truth data, sharp intelligence and modern technology, applied to one seat at a time.

Every product on VoteSutra is built to move a decision. Where to invest booth resources. Which community to convert. When to switch narratives. Which polling stations to defend. The measure of our work is simple. Did our clients win where the numbers said they could.

The advantage we build
  • Political strategy

Cycle-tested campaign frameworks tuned to Indian seats, communities and coalition maths, not imported templates.

  • Data and intelligence

Booth-wise caste, past election trends, swing patterns and voter roll intelligence for every constituency we touch.

  • Technology and delivery

A single platform, dossiers on WhatsApp within a working day and a booth management app that runs the ground game.

  • Outcomes, not decks

We measure ourselves on seats won, margins protected and swing booths converted, not on slides shipped.

How we bridge the gap

One platform, from the constituency profile to the booth level dossier

The free layer of VoteSutra maps every seat in India with caste demographics, historical elections since 2008 and top-line booth insights. On top of that, campaigns can commission granular dossiers, voter roll data, outreach infrastructure and field research from a single catalogue.

Principles and data ethics

The rules the platform never breaks

These rules govern the free platform and every paid deliverable. They are what make VoteSutra usable for candidates, consultancies and newsrooms in the same room.

Our principles

  • Data before narrative

Every claim on VoteSutra is traceable to a booth-level number. If a source is not verifiable, it does not ship.

  • Cross party by design

We work with candidates and campaigns across the political spectrum. Colour palettes on VoteSutra are neutral so partisan cues never bleed into the data.

  • Public data stays public

Overall caste composition, election history since 2008 and the top ten booths for every seat remain free forever. No signup, no paywall.

  • Booth level or nothing

Macro national narratives lose seats. We ship the layer that actually wins on ground, one polling station at a time.

Data ethics, privacy and accuracy

Every deliverable on VoteSutra is aggregated at the polling station level. Individual voter identifiers, phone numbers or personal data are never shared unless the client already holds them lawfully. Handling is aligned with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Field research runs through vetted state teams with written consent protocols in place.

  • Aggregated at the booth

Community share, turnout, margin and swing patterns are always reported at a polling station or booth level, never at an individual voter level.

  • Lawfully sourced primary data

Voter rolls, electoral returns and Election Commission notifications only. Third party data brokers are excluded from the pipeline.

  • Exclusivity in writing

Once a candidate or campaign takes a constituency, we do not deliver the same seat's dossier to a rival campaign in the same cycle.

  • Verifiable audit trail

Every booth number in a paid dossier links back to a specific ECI return, notification or field record. Nothing is asserted without a source.
